Bachelor of Science Degree Program - 180 Quarter Credit Hours

Not seeking to enroll students.

The Business Management Bachelor Degree program seeks to provide business students with a thorough understanding of theory and application related to the business environment so they are able to collect and analyze data, identify alternative solutions and select the most appropriate course of action for specific business problems. The program seeks to develop knowledge and skills in research, critical thinking, problem-solving and current technology for application and use in communication, data collection/analysis and solving business problems. Furthermore, students will be provided with an understanding of professional ethics and its application to the business environment. Students are involved in teamwork and leadership development through participation in classroom activities and student organizations.

Program Objectives


Upon graduation, a student will:

  1. Make use of critical thinking skills to identify, formulate and execute solutions.
  2. Possess an awareness of a global business environment.
  3. Understand the role of planning, organizing, leading and controlling in a business environment.
  4. Utilize technology to perform job-related tasks including, but not limited to, data collection and analysis.
  5. Adhere to a professional code of conduct and ethics as it applies to a business environment.

I Students who reside more than 60 miles from a campus offering this program of study must complete the capstone course in place of the Internship. Please refer to the Experiential Learning  section of this catalog for additional information.
Program Length: The Business Management-BS program is 180 weeks in length and 2,136 or 2,208 clock hours.

Program Delivery: The Business Management-BS program is offered in residential, distance learning, or a combination of both types of instructional delivery formats.
