CD 1000 - Career Development

Non-credit foundation course provides students with knowledge and skills related to securing a career position as well as growing within their chosen career. This course requires students to create resumes, practice interviewing skills and conduct research, exploring employment opportunities available in the area and setting up interviews with prospective employers. The course addresses important workplace issues including professionalism, diversity, maintaining professional work environments and common employee benefit programs. Students are required to earn a grade of 73% or higher to satisfy the requirements of this course. Prerequisite(s): Minimum of 60 quarter credit hours or in a student’s final quarter of program of study for programs requiring fewer than 60 quarter credit hours.
