CJ 4510 - Homeland Security

4 Credit Hours

This course is designed to present the causes and controversy of terrorism, including definitions and terms, the evolution of terrorism and the types of terrorism from domestic to international. The course also presents issues in Homeland Security, focusing on the development of the concept, the protection of civil liberties, the bureaucracy of managing Homeland Security and the role of the media. Prerequisite(s): CJ 2995 or permission of program chair or dean.
