CJ 2550 - Criminalistics

This course presents the process of collection and analysis of physical evidence and developments in crime scene techniques. This course is designed to train and prepare participants to become skilled in the recognition, discovery, processing, preservation, collection and transmission of physical evidence found at the scene of the crime. Course includes photography, sketching, fingerprinting, marking, chain of custody, collection methods, sources of physical evidence, transmission to the laboratory and testifying in court. Prerequisite(s): BUS 1050 or CJ 1050 and CJ 2220.
